I’m doing a search for two of my clients in the NYC area. Please send your resume to michael@verticalsearchpartners.com in a word attachment with contact info. The candidate will be a major contributor towards the design, development and deployment of large-scale distributed financial applications. A person working in the engineering group can look forward to working on core business applications, as well as reporting and support applications.
Qualifications and Experience Required
-Solid knowledge of C++. Minimum 2 years relevant programming experience in C/C++;
-Strong Object-oriented design and methodology;
-Knowledge of various Operating Systems including NT and Solaris.
-An understanding of electronic financial messaging standards/protocols including FIX.
Preferred
- Knowledge of event-driven (publish/subscribe) programming models;
- Knowledge of various Relational Databases including Oracle and Sybase;
- Understanding of messaging based distributed systems that support high speed transaction processing, fault-tolerance, application/data integration and security;
- Knowledge of various security protocols including SSL and Kerberos;
This role will pay on a base, anywhere from 70 to 90k. I have a more senior role that requires 5+ yrs. of exp. that will pay over 105k+ on a base.
