Hi,

Under Mutilleg Order Type we have 3 option 1. Spread 2 2 Leg 3. 3 Leg’

If i want to place an order can i give value OrdType Tag 40 as Market coz doc says default value is Limit.

Tag 6008 is a user-defined field and it is not multileg order type, it is CancelRebillReason (see http://www.fixprotocol.org/specifications/fields/6008-6008). Where did you find this field definition?
OrdType(40) is a key field and it applies to single as well as multi-leg orders. It sounds as if the UDF is used to denote the number of legs more than the order type as understood by OrdType(40). Hence both fields may well co-exist. Note that standard FIX does not define a default value for OrdType(40). The “doc” you refer to is probably the Rules of Engagement document for the specific interface you are dealing with.
