The key responsibility of a Systems Project Manager is to work actively with our clients to implement new systems and enhanced functionality for our market-leading software products and services. The person must be able to work directly with senior trading desk managers and to develop practical configuration requirements with a wide range of traders, back office and technical personnel. The Project Manager will be responsible to translate this knowledge into functional specifications and work with a highly skilled Operations team to design and execute an efficient implementation plan.
The position requires sound knowledge of trading products, specifically within the Equities market. Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and back office experience are all significant assets. An effective candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the tools and technology, along with the ability to help guide planning and implementation across a variety of projects. The candidate will interact with investment professionals and technical contacts at all levels of the organization to proactively identify and satisfy requirements for new/improved systems. The position requires extensive interaction with clients.
Skills required:
Classic project management skills, a team member who can *run the show" for an implementation effort
Must be able to drive a project and involve the client only as necessary
Excellent communication skills across project management, operations, network and client-facing roles
Equities and/or financial services experience
Must have 2 - 4 years of project management experience
Must have 5 years of demonstrated experience in business analysis, requirements specification, and implementation
Ideally will have 5-10 years of experience in the securities and the investment process
