The position will be responsible for facilitating support of the firms trading system, primarily working on database issues. Candidates with experience in equity trading and knowledge of OMS trading systems and FIX Protocol will be given first consideration. You would provide technical support to our clients.
This is a dual role, and we need a candidate with strong Oracle skills:
Should have knowledge of Oracle 8i-9i on Windows/Linux/Unix platforms.
Should have the ability to operate the following tasks:
Perform import/exports
Take hot and cold backups
Restore from hot/cold backups
Write sql/plsql scripts
Tune queries
Have an understanding of Oracle Replication
Familiarity with Java and Ant is a plus.
Position requires strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
Responsible for the management of production problems, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
Responsible for working with development teams to ensure releases are smooth, error-free, and easily rolled-back
Proactively identify and resolve potential system problems.
