The position requires a ‘hands-on’ role working with Linux and Solaris systems, writing C and Perl code for system services and administration and working with PHP code for web use with Apache. The candidate will perform system monitoring tasks, review backups and logs, participate in Disaster Recovery testing and develop documented procedures. There will be significant and on-going involvement with installations and upgrades of hardware, software and applications. Candidate must have solid experience with Solaris and Linux Red Hat administration. Experience with the support and maintenance of Order Management and Trading systems is a significant plus.
Candidates for this position will have five years+ of Unix/Linux Systems Administration experience and one year or more of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator in a medium to large environment.
