Hi Guys,

Had a doubt in Order freeze. When an order placed from FIX 4.2 is frozen at the exchange level what would be the status of that order in tag 39.According to me the order status cant be 39=8(rejected) or 39=9(suspended) as exchange may open or reject that order based on the scrip performance during the mkt hrs.

Hi Sudhir,

If particular order is frozen at exchange side , Initially exchange will sent 39=9 ( suspended) and later exchange will send 39=0 ( New ) up on order or scrip released from frozen level.

Hi,

It is interesting to note that under the exchange best practise model a new order that is suspended upon entry (39=9) & then released back into the market may be communicated back to the order placer without first transitioning through 39=0(new) e.g. the order could be injected into the market, be partially filled and the first FIX message going back could carry 39=1.
