# Order Status Request

Hi All,

I want to send an “Order Status Request” message to find out what is the status of an specific order in the market.

What is the format of this message, i tried the following, but its giving me “missing tag required”:

8=FIX.4.2

9=83

35=H

49=010

56=FIX010

34=1008

52=20060228-12:20:53

55=BRES

54=2

11=444

65=0

37=444

10=199

Any help appreciated

The format of standard FIX 4.2 : Order Status Request message can be found in FIX 4.2 Specification

or in other sources, e.g.

Probably it would be also useful to review the description of the FIX Dialect that your counterparty uses because it could specify additional required tags.

According to FIX 4.2, all required field seem to be present. But check the specific requirements of your counterparty. What is the exact FIX message you are getting as answer?

All required body fields.

Extra fields (not required by FIX 4.2).

> 10=199

All required trailer fields
