Hi,
I currently have a problem concerning a missing
OrigSendingTime in a sequence reset gap-fill
message which is the result of a resend request
(skipping administrative messages). The sequence
reset message I get has the PossDupFlag set to
’Y’ but no OrigSendingTime.
The conterparty’s hotline tells us that
OrigSendingTime is optional for sequence reset
messages in a resend. But as I read the specs
(4.0) the OrigSendingTime must always be set for
all messages in response to a resend request.
So what is the correct interpredation of the FIX
specification? Is OrigSendingTime really optional
for sequence reset messages or not?
