Dear All,
As far as I understand it is possible to use tag CashOrderQty(152) in order to specify something like “Buy $500 of MSFT”.
I am interested if this is possible to specify “over/under” conditions on an order with tag CashOrderQty, i.e. “under” means that we should not exceed value from CashOrderQty and “over” means that we can exceed value from CashOrderQty.
I reviewed several threads about this tag and so far cannot find any information about this.
Could you please advise?
Thank you in advance.
I do not think there is any way to specify over / under when specifying CashOrderQty (152) instead of OrderQty (38).
Lets looks at this logically. If we specify “over”, then there should be a way to specify “how much over” the Sell side is permitted to go. When OrderQty (38) is specified, it means buy/sell me upto OrderQty (38) shares. Similarly, when CashOrderQty (152) is specified instead on OrderQty (38), it means buy/sell me the number of shares such that the cost is within the value specified in 152. Considering multiple partial executions at different prices, it would be the Sell side’s responsibility to ensure the CumQty * AvgPx <= CashOrderQty.
