Portware LLC Announces Support for CameronFIX Engine
Upgrade to CameronFIX increases power and flexibility for investment managers, hedge funds, and broker/dealers.
New York, NY – July 6, 2004 — Global FIX Engine vendor Cameron Systems today announced the addition of the CameronFIX Engine to Portware LLC’s Portware Professional trade management system and its service-bureau version, Portware ASP. Based in New York, Portware is a leading developer of broker-neutral trade management software for the global securities industry.
The inclusion of the CameronFIX Engine with Portware’s trade management solutions will enable users to seamlessly send and receive FIX-based global equities, futures, options, FX and other trade messages directly from Portware Professional and Portware ASP. In collaboration with select clients, Portware this month successfully completed testing of the CameronFIX Engine with its trade management systems. Throughout the testing, Cameron Systems provided Portware with technical integration support from its New York office.
Portware Professional is the global securities industry’s leading portfolio-based trade and order management system for global equities, futures, options, FX and fixed income. Portware Professional is a real-time, FIX-compliant, broker-neutral system currently in use at more than 100 buy-side, sell-side and hedge fund firms for basket, index and automated quantitative trading. Portware ASP is a service-bureau version of Portware Professional in which Portware hosts all facets of the application – market data, FIX connectivity, order management and routing – eliminating the need for clients to install or manage any hardware.
"Our mission is to provide investment professionals and traders with the tools they need to increase efficiencies, lower costs and achieve best execution, and our alliance with CameronFIX furthers this mission significantly," said Eric Goldberg, chief executive officer for Portware LLC. "Cameron has gained significant market share in recent years by offering superior technology. Our clients will benefit greatly by having CameronFIX as an option to power their Portware FIX connectivity."
"Portware and Cameron Systems have grown substantially in the past two years by bringing superior technology to the market and replacing incumbents," said Cameron Systems commercial director, Martin Koopman. "Portware has a strong technical solution that has just got better with the integration of CameronFIX. We look forward to working with Portware and their customers."
"The addition of CameronFIX allows us to provide our customers with a robust and powerful FIX application," said Ary Khatchikian, president and chief technology officer for Portware LLC. "The high performance CameronFIX Engine, functionality and connection flexibility was validated throughout our testing and we are confident this FIX solution is the best fit for Portware."
Portware clients will also be able to take advantage of additional CameronFIX options such as CameronFIX High Availability for disaster recovery.
