CHICAGO–Pravega Financial Technologies, Inc. (PFT), a financial technology solution company, today announced the worldwide launch of its VegaFIX System Version 4.0 software. The new benefits of this software release are designed to provide performance enhancement and platform upgrade for middle and back-office FIX infrastructure.

In this release, the following performance improvements were achieved, and more importantly .NET 4.5 environment allows building more robust, scalable, multi-protocol, parallel core processing for in memory analytics and many more language features for middle and back-office solutions.
All these are run time environment of .NET (CLR) enhancements that FIX Engine runs on it.
Multi-core Just-in-Time (JIT) - The feature works by JIT compiling methods likely to be executed on a background thread, which on a multi-core machine will run on another core, in parallel.
Optimized Native Images - In this release .NET4.5 introduced a supplemental tool called Managed Profile Guided Optimization (MPGO), which optimizes the layout of native images for even greater performance.
Large Object Heap (LOH) - Made some changes to make efficient use of memory fragments in the LOH
Background GC for Server - Background GC (Garbage Collector) for server introduces support for concurrent collections to our server collector. It minimizes long blocking collections while continuing to maintain high application throughput. This also minimizes jitter significantly.
