The FIX Protocol Ltd. organization and the TowerGroup are pleased to introduce the first Global Survey of the Financial Information Exchange Protocol (FIX) user and provider community. We invite you to participate in developing a perspective on the adoption and utilization of the FIX Protocol across the global capital markets industry.
The objective of the study is to understand the current and future adoption of FIX technology and processes across four primary segments of the global market:
• Buy-side Institutions / Investment Management Firms / Hedge Funds
• Sell-side Institutions / Broker-Dealers
• Exchanges / ECNs / ATSs / MTFs
• Capital Markets Technology Vendors
The survey will address the highest priority issues facing capital markets firms globally:
• Current and future leverage of FIX across all products, including Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Derivatives
• Views on Market Structures and Electronic Trading
• Data Management, Standards, and Processing Efficiencies
• Institution and Vendor FIX Capabilities
Prior to its launch you can pre-register for the survey at: http://www.fixprotocol.org/discuss/subscribe/43/on (you must be logged into the website first). Please note that if you are already a member and participant in FPL, you are automatically registered for the FIX Global Survey. However, we encourage you to forward this to your colleagues within the industry so we can be sure to collect the broadest sample of data possible.
The survey structure is segmented according to the type of firm responding, the size of the firms business and its geographic region in order to ensure the statistical integrity and significance of the results at a granular level, and to provide meaningful insights to all members of the industry worldwide. All information collected through the survey will remain confidential and without attribution to any respondent or firm. For their participation, each survey respondent will receive a complimentary copy of the consolidated research and results across all segments.
If there is a different individual in your organization who can better address these other areas, please forward this note to them so they may participate.
Please note that all the data collected will be used solely for the benefit of the FIX community and that no information you give will be passed to third parties. All the data collected will be anonymised by the use of statistical techniques and no answer will be traceable to any individual respondent.
