Key responsibilities will include:
Provision of strategic direction to the product set, adapting and positioning it to local requirements
Coaching a local sales force in relation to relevant product capabilities and scope.
Running pre-sales activities (responses to RFPs, presentations, demonstrations, workshops, preparing and maintaining demonstration and presentation materials)
Preparation of locally relevant sales collateral.
Liasing with Customer/Professional services management to assist timely resource planning.
Liasing with other corporate functions (Finance/Marketing) to provide relevant information.
Maintaining close operational dialogue with the local management team.
The role will be based in Hong Kong and it is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend a considerable amount of time helping to develop and maintain market share throughout the Asia Pacific region, with primary focus on Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.
The Candidate
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have good domain knowledge of the Treasury market, local knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, business practices, key players, industry influencers, and from a competitive view – key differentiators between solution providers. They will be expected to demonstrate good communication skills and strong sales awareness.
It is probable that the successful candidate will have had direct experience to the Treasury market, either through time spent with another solutions provider or as an active practitioner working for a bank, institution or corporate enterprise.
The candidate will be very sales aware and have a clear insight into the processes associated with the sale of high value software. The candidate will be expected to be able to take a ‘consultative’ approach to the analysis to the client’s requirements and to ensure that the most appropriate and correct solution is presented. At all times, they will ensure that the business is not adversely exposed through miss-selling or as a result of inappropriate sales representations.
The candidate will have a strong appreciation of the local business cultures and strong Mandarin and English language skills both oral and written.
