Fields.xml contains the following specification for Tag 205: 205 MaturityDay day-of-month Day of month used in conjunction with MaturityMonthYear to specify the maturity date for SecurityType=FUT or SecurityType=OPT. MatDay 1 While I understand the tag has been deprecated, I do think the data type should have been converted to a valid data type (from DataTypes.xml). It appears the data type day-of-month has itself been deprecated in favor of DayOfMonth. This data type change is only a name change and I'm not even sure why the name needed to be changed at all. Can we please have all tags - deprecated or not - with a valid data type please? Thanks JohnP
Interesting - despite the website stripping off tags - your point is well taken. This issue was previously identified and I thought was in Jira for resolution in the repository maintenance release. However, I don’t see it there. Somehow this change was introduced was a result of the repository itself and has been a real pain in the neck.
I have opened a new Jira item SPEC-248.
Your next question - where can FIX members obtain the list of Jira items? Good question - nowhere yet. We need to either provide a web interface into Jira or publish a periodic extract to the FIX Protocol website.
