Product Manager - Institutional Trading
HedgeStreet, Inc. (www.hedgestreet.com), an innovative start-up has an opening for a Product Manager-Institutional Trading. HedgeStreet is a new person-to-person marketplace that enables online consumers to trade innovative financial instruments based on economic events. As Product Manager, Institutional Trading, you will play a leadership role in developing new financial contracts that enable institutions such as hedge funds to trade HedgeStreet instruments. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to “invent”, a hands-on command of new financial product development, and the ability to drive execution excellence, and experience in the financial services industry, then HedgeStreet is the place for you.
Job responsibilities:
Develop a winning, long-term product roadmap for HedgeStreet Institutional financial instruments.
Conduct competitive, customer, and market research to develop a deep understanding of Futures Commission Merchants (FCM) and Market Maker requirements.
Determine FIX and 3rd Party trading software integration strategy and implementation requirements.
Determine and write detailed institutional trading product requirements including process flows, business logic, comps and field level details.
Work with Sales, Engineering, Instrument Origination, and other cross-functional teams to build and deploy new financial contracts, version existing products and create marketing plans.
Communicate directly with Institutional Sales and Institutional Customers, gathering requirements, instilling confidence, and being a product evangelist for HedgeStreet Institutional financial instruments.
Job Requirements:
5-7 years of Financial Product/Contract Management experience.
Strong experience in financial services including institutional trading.
Specific working experience with integrating desktop applications with back-office trading systems and FIX (Trading Technologies, PatSystems, Tibco)
A proven track record of identifying strategic opportunities, inventing solutions, and delivering tactical products and services.
A strong technology focus including specific experience building and operating trading applications is a MUST.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency a MUST.
