This horizontal role provides a consistent environment across all groups of the equities platform. They coordinate the batch cycle releases and handle external connectivity between Equities and data providers or data consumers both inside and outside of the firm.
· 24 hrs business days + weekend checkout
· Horizontal across equities
· Releases all batch software
· Runs the batch
· Analyzes Performance trends and their impact on the batch
· Well defined Operational, Checkout and Escalation procedures to Business Support or Development Groups
· Environment Checkouts performed for Production, Development, QA and Contingency environments
· Problems/Bugs detected during checkout are entered into the issue tracking system and escalated to developers.
Skills
· Sybase/SQL is a must.
· UNIX is a must
· Autosys job scheduling/monitoring highly desirable
· Perl, Shell, or other scripting languanges highly desirable
