IBSN is currently seeking highly qualified and highly energetic people for our professional services group. Qualified candidates must have deep technical experience and an understanding of commonly adopted financial protocols (i.e., FIX, CMS). They also should have industry expertise in the securities business working with electronic trading solutions. Candidates must have strong customer relationship skills and customer-facing experience in delivering business solutions through technology.
IBSN’s Professional Services candidates have two primary responsibilities:
Product Implementation
- Provide onsite integration service to clients implementing our products, first level support with any associated technical issues and act as primary point of contact for the implementation
- Function as an escalation point for client services to assist in resolution of client technical issues
- Identify project requirements, strategies, and schedules in support of implementation projects
- Communicate regularly with management regarding project status and participate in project reviews
- Articulate complex technical issues to management; recommend appropriate solutions and guide client through issue resolution
Business Development
- Identify additional opportunities for business through extension of existing work or through new work within existing accounts
- Build relationships with client technical/development organizations and be recognized by these organizations as a product expert who adds value
The candidates will have strong technical and financial services experience in both products and services, including working experience with major protocols, including FIX, as well as with order routing, message brokers, and integration solutions. Travel will be required.

- Quickly develop creative solutions to complex business problems
- Work with fast turn-around times in a high-pressure, production environment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with all departments of a prospect and the ability to listen well and build strong relationships
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Superior analytical skills
- High energy level, self-motivation and a strong work ethic
Required Experience:
- An understanding of the Institutional Trade Flow and Trade Processing business (i.e. knowledge of commonly adopted financial protocols (i.e., FIX, CMS), Electronic Trade Confirmation, Straight Through Processing (STP) and the current industry initiatives)
- Experience with electronic trading operations
- Familiarity with industry standard order management and trading, risk and compliance, and back office systems
- Experience with similar business/application messaging systems and protocols
Required Technical Experience:
- Well versed in protocol design and implementation as well as all other areas related to system integration (i.e. networking, databases, programming languages, system administration, performance tuning, etc…)
- Development experience with Python/Jython
- Knowledge of object oriented design and programming experience using Java and/or C++
- Ability to configure our software to align with prospect’s business processes
- Experience with FIX based trading systems and /or FIX based order routing systems
