Top-Tier Investment bank is looking for a highly intelligent and self-motivated Programmer/Quantitative Analyst who wants to work in an intense and intellectually challenging environment to join its equities FIX-based electronic trading technology group focused on algorithmic and program trading. The person in this role will use the latest technology to develop and implement analytical libraries for pre- and post trade analytics, client reports derived from them as well as real-time risk management analytics. Position to include a mixture of coding, data analysis, and interacting with the trading team. Duties:
Some mixture of the following:
· Work on the development of analytical libraries for pre/post trade analysis.
· Design and automate reports for traders and/or clients.
· Manage equities data feeds that may become corrupted or contain errors.
· Maintain large equities databases and integrate data from multiple sources
· Analyze / improve / implement new real-time trading algorithms.
· Develop GUI for real-time trading analytics.
· Conduct independent quantitative research and analysis using equities daily and high frequency data and present findings to management (e.g. develop new trading strategies etc.)
Education and Experience Required:
· BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math etc.
· Some experience with database design and functionality such as SQL, as well as experience with manipulating large datasets.
· Proficient in two or more of the following: Perl, Sybase, C/C++, .Net C#, Java, or K/Kdb
· 1-3 years experience with software development and quantitative analysis, preferably in the financial industry
· Track record of producing clean and well-commented code and documentation.
· Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistics as well as familiarity with Matlab, S-plus, SAS etc. is a plus
· Experience working with Linux/Solaris
