Project Consultant / Business Analyst - London
Leading Provider of Trading solutions within the Investment management sector are seeking a Project Consultant to work within Global Professional Services on projects located in the UK and Europe. Projects range in duration from 6 months to 2 years. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager/Consultant for an investment bank, software provider, or asset management firm. Experience in the investment industry is required, ideally working with trade order management systems. While travel to client sites is required for this position, it is expected to be no more than 30%, and typically does not involve weekends.
The role of the Project Consultant is to determine the client’s business requirements, and to ensure that workflow, data, software and hardware solutions meet those requirements.
We are looking for people who have exceptional client service and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, technical proficiency with C++, Java, Sybase and SQL, and knowledge of the fund management/trading industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years experience in the investment industry, preferably focused on the front office
- At least 2 years experience as a Project Consultant or Business Analyst
- Exceptional client service and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical proficiency with C++, Java, and RDBMS
- Detail oriented and good trouble-shooting skills.
- Organized and assertive team player.
- A university degree is preferred.
