Project Manager - Capital Markets Risk

Our client is a leading global specialist in risk management and wealth management systems, services and data, providing cutting edge software and services to banks, asset managers and hedge funds. They have an immediate need for a Project Manager to work with their European clients. The position is based in London, with some travel to clients.
Responsibilities:
• Run implementation projects of varying duration - from 1 month to 1 year.
• Responsible for scoping out the initial work, identifying internal resources to do this work, communicating expectations and progress to the client, and ensuring that the project finishes on time. On many projects, the project manager will also take the lead in performing business analysis.
• The Project Manager will not have a set of direct reports, but will assemble appropriate teams borrowing from other groups in the organization. (Development, Research, Data etc.)
• Oversee several projects in various stages of completion.
• Must communicate internally and externally, prioritizing among different projects and tasks, and keeping track of many different tasks and people.
• Help implement formal processes, procedures and documentation around how we manage projects.
• Support the sales team in the sale of larger projects - in terms of costing implementation effort, and setting expectations around project process.
• Assist in testing client specific functionality to ensure it complies with specification
Requirements:
• Detail oriented and self-reliant
• Understanding of financial products
• Project management and business analysis experience on financial software implementations
• Experience working in a client driven environment
• Ability to handle difficult and demanding clients
• Flexibility and able to show initiative
• Must speak fluent English & German. Other European Languages a strong plus e.g., French and Italian.
