Project Manager
Responsibilities:
A rewarding opportunity working on Wall Street to implement market-leading tools and technology that optimize trading efficiency.
The key responsibility of a Project Manager is to work actively with our clients to implement new systems and enhance existing installations of our software products and FIX connectivity services. The individual seeking this position must be able to work directly with a wide range of client contacts and have the skills to develop and drive the execution of practical and efficient implementation plans.
The position requires sound knowledge of trading products, specifically within the Equities market. In addition, experience with Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and back office are all significant assets. An effective candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the Electronic Trading technology, along with the ability to simultaneously guide planning and implementation of a variety of projects. The candidate will interact with investment professionals and technical contacts at all levels of the organization. The position requires extensive interaction with clients.
Skills required:
Project management skills, a team member who can “run the show" for an implementation effort
Extensive knowledge of FIX protocol
Must be able to drive a project and involve the client effectively and as necessary
Excellent communication skills across project management, operations, network and client-facing roles
Equities and/or related financial services experience
Must have 2 - 4 years of Project Management experience
Must have 5 years of demonstrated experience in business analysis, requirements specification, and project implementation
A candidate will ideally have at least 5 years of experience in the securities industry
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college is strongly preferred.
A candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to assess and communicate strategies across a broad spectrum of professionals. Practical problem solving abilities and able to bring complex risk assessments to bear upon real world business and client problems are requirements. A candidate should possess an exemplary work ethic and the ability to operate in a high performing team that makes commitments and delivers on them.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college is strongly preferred. At least five years related professional experience within the trading & investment industry is required.
This position is located directly on Wall Street, a short walk from the New York Stock Exchange.
