The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the AttachmentGrp Proposal. The AttachmentGrp component is a new component group that is being proposed to allow for the “attachment” of different media types to a FIX/FIXML message. This component is intended only for very specific usage where it is needed such as in the TradeCaptureReport message where it would be used for post-trade reporting to regulators.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
