PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD - CFTC Part 39 Reporting

Imported from previous forum

The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the CFTC Part 39 Reporting. This gap analysis proposal has been submitted to enhance the AccountSummaryReport message (previously proposed and approved as EP117, which can be found here: http://www.fixprotocol.org/specifications/EP117) to support Part 39 regulatory reporting obligations. These are submissions of daily reports under Section 39.19©(1), which requires reports from DCOs for each clearing member (“CM”) by house origin and by each customer origin for all futures, options, and swaps positions, and all securities positions held in a segregated account or pursuant to a cross margining agreement.

This gap analysis also builds on the CFTC Part 43 and 45 Phase 1 gap analysis.

The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.

Please post feedback, comments, and questions as replies to this discussion thread.
