PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD – Environment and Electrical Units of Measure Proposal

The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Environmental and Electrical Units of Measure Proposal. This proposal from the CME Group seeks to enhance the FIX Protocol to better support trading of environmental and electrical capacity contracts. Changes include new enumerations for UnitOfMeasure (tag 996) and EventType (tag 865) fields.

The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
