The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Gap Analysis created by the GTC to close a gap in a regulatory requirement to report the Unique Transaction Identifier (UTI) in addition to the Unique Swap Identifier (USI) with the repeating group RegulatoryTradeIDGrp.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the GTC will review public comments before final approval by the GTC Governance Board.
Please post feedback, comments, and questions as replies to this discussion thread. The public comment period ends on September 8, 2022.
@ramjeepenta, a change to a component automatically makes that extension for all components and/or messages that this component is a part of. AllocRegulatoryTradeIDSource(1910) as part of the component AllocRegulatoryTradeIDGrp means that the extension is available in components AllocAckGrp, AllocGrp, and TrdAllocGrp. These components are again part of multiple messages, including the AllocationReport(35=AS).
Is there anybody else out there that would second the inclusion of RegulatoryTradeIDGrp to the Confirmation(35=AK) message? Not sure whether it is needed on the ConfirmationAck(35=AU) message. The latter is used to respond to a Confirmation(35=AK) message and does not echo back all of its attributes.
yes, we support it especially given the increased importance and relevant of the UTI globally, and therefore there needs to be a way to quote it in the confirmation message.
The public review will now be closed. Comments received will be provided back to the Global Technical Committee for consideration of updates to the proposal.
