PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD - GFIC Tri-Party Repo Proposal

Imported from previous forum

The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the GFIC Tri-Party Repo Proposal. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York established a task force to address the weaknesses of the US tri-party repo market. The task force published a document that outlined proposals for the Three Way Trading Confirmation process and Settlement Time process. The GFIC Technical Committee reviewed the document and as a result generated this proposal which identifies the gaps between data elements in the document and what FIX is currently able to support.

The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.

Please post feedback, comments, and questions as replies to this discussion thread.
