The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the OCC and CME Position Type Extension Proposal. This gap analysis proposes the addition of three new enumeration values to the PosType field in order to meet requirements by regulatory agencies and exchanges’ market surveillance data requests for expiring and unexpired position quantities.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
