The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Stop Order Extensions Proposal. This proposal enhances the OrdType(40) field to support two additional order types to meet the SEC approved SR-FINRA-2012-026. The order types being added are “Stop on Bid or Offer” and “Stop Limit on Bid or Offer”.
The proposal describes in detail the FINRA requirements.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
