The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the XML Schema for FIX, Technical Standard Proposal. The XML Schema for FIX Technical Standard proposal seeks to improve consistency across all XML schemas in FIX standards. It includes a common scheme for versioning. The FIX standards impacted by this proposal include the FIX Repository, FIXML, SBE message schema, and FIXatdl.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
