This position is for a large hedge fund in NYC:
QA Qualifications:
Senior level QA person (5+ years experience performing software quality assurance)
Experience testing trading applications, as well as knowledge of the FIX protocol (versions 4.0 - 4.2)
Experience writing test plans, executing test cases and working independently
Fluent in UNIX (Solaris preferably), Windows & Linux are a plus
UNIX shell scripting is required (C/TCSH/BASH shells)
Knowledge of sockets (TCP/UDP/MultiCast/Tibco) communications is a plus
Experience using SilkTest or other GUI regression testing tools
Superior communication skills, both written and oral
Educational background in computer science
Compensation is negotiable depending upon experience and skills.
Ability to write test cases and execute. Needs to be very fluent in Unix, FIX Protocol (at least some exposure to FIX), sockets, multiple applications. Knowledge of Silk or even WinRunner would be a very big plus.
