QA Engineer - Electronic Trading and Risk Management Systems
FTEN, a fast growing financial services firm providing electronic equity trading and risk management systems is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in making a significant and meaningful contribution in the productivity and quality of our Company’s development of enterprise software applications. This individual will work closely with the Development and Quality Assurance teams to create Quality Assurance documentation and to manually test state of the art software.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to improve the quality of development code prior to QA release through manual testing methods (functional test, integration test, test plans, test case writing etc.).
Have a good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
one or more years of software testing experience
Good understanding of IT systems
Create, analyze, and execute system-testing requirements
Analyze, interpret, and approve requirements
Analyze, interpret, and review design specifications
Create test plans and test cases
Manually execute test case scenarios on front end trading and risk management systems.
Create specifications for test data/test environment
Configure/setup test environments
Utilize defect tracking system and bug reports
Prepare rollout/implementation timelines and procedures and specifications
Perform problem solving analysis and root cause for system functionality challenges
Participate on continuous quality assurance process improvement efforts
Support and provide value added inputs in evolving QA team, including improving processes, procedures, and standards.
Create and update test databases, defect database, plans, schedules, and scripts.
Will also accurately identify and communicate bugs and systems enhancements to the development teams.
