QA TESTER WITH FIX EXPERIENCE IN BOSTON
1+ year contract
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, Computer Science or related field.
Previous relevant experience without such a degree will be considered
-Minimum of 5 yrs experience as a QA or Business Analyst, Tester, or related positions.
-Experience with transaction or data centric applications (investment or trading application experience is preferred)
-Experience developing test plans, strategies and cases; executing tests and documenting results
-Experience operating/testing client/server applications in a Unix environment
-Experience/knowledge of relational databases (Oracle and/or Sybase) and SQL
-Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills
-Experience/knowledge of the investment and trading process is strongly desired
-Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
Test automation
Performance testing
XML-based messaging environments (TIB/RVD)
Problem/defect management systems
Development lifecycle and process improvement models (process quality)

Looking for a high-potential individual to join its Investment Systems team. The Investment Systems Division currently has a staff of approximately 200 and develops and maintains all software applications that support the Portfolio Management, Research & Analytics, Trading, Risk Management, Compliance, Portfolio Accounting, and Custody operations. The candidate will have primary responsibility for testing investment and trading system applications, including test analysis and planning, test case preparation and test execution. They will coordinate their testing activities of investment and trading applications with others working in integrated testing environments. The candidate will work with business analysts and developers from several application development or business teams to develop test requirements and test strategies for major changes as well as for production defects (bugs).The successful candidate will have solid organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; excellent analytical skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
