- The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to work on the development process of detailed test scripts that would involve manual and automated testing to ensure the accuracy of connectivity and programming of new clients, software and system enhancements in a trading environment.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to implement, configure and support each new client, software or system enhancement into production once they have passed the QA session.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to create customized test plans for each client or code change.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst is the level 2 escalation and is responsible to troubleshoot any program, communication or trading problems found once the client is in the production environment.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to log any problems, bugs, etc. for each client and give daily status reports.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Create full regression scripts
- Create customized test scripts for each new client
- Install and configure each new client in the quality assurance environment
- Test end to end with the client the accuracy of connectivity and programming on a CTCI level using FIX 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 protocols.
- Interact with developers, traders, upper-management,etc. with any problems found
- Document problems that are found in Access Database
- Create daily status reports
- Install, configure and support each new client that is released in the production environment.
- Research and trouble shoot program, connectivity and trade problems for clients in production
Experience Level/Knowledge and Skills:
- 3 or more years experienced
- Knowledge of FIX protocol required
- Knowledge of the Securities Industry required
- Knowledge of Unix
- Knowledge of Rational testing tools
- Knowledge of PC technologies and basic software
- Knowledge of SQL
- Disciplined and organized work habits
- Able to function in a time consuming detailed manner
- Excellent telephone and in-person presence
- College Degree preferred
