Hi,

We have been using the DK message in Production to communicate rejected trades/execution rejects. We have a new client who does not support the DK message. I am waiting on feedback from them as far as what they actually use. But by reading their specs I believe the use OrdRejReason (103) on the Execution report instead.

My question is…generally speaking what would be the benefit of supporting an additional message, the DK, as opposed to just using the Execution Report and 103? It does seem beneficial to support fewer messages, since there is a lot of coding involved in our application.

An ExecutionReport can be used to reject a New Order - Single, while a Don’t Know Trade can be used to reject an Execution Report.
