Im a a broker and i ask me if it’s possible with fix protocol to cancel or modify with only ONE reverse execution (or something else) 2,3 or more execution report :

Ex

New Order (qty=20) --\> Sell side
\<-ACK
\<-- PF (5)
\<-- PF (10)
\<-- reverse (15) (in one time)
(exectranstype = cancel or Correct)
\<-- PF (5)
\<-- Filled (20)

You are able to modify one of the Partial Fill messages. Notice that you have to supply a new ExecID and an OrigExecID to tell the client which execution has changed.

Up to and including FIX 4.2, you would set ExecTransType to Correct to do this. The ExecTransType tag has gone in 4.3, so you have to use ExecType instead.

Hope this helps.

No. In the two trade case, you can send two trade busts and a new trade, or can bust one and correct the other.
