Rule 3370 - Affirmative Determination

Hi,

According to the SEC rule 3370, non-member broker/dealers must now supply two extra bits of information on orders:

  1. LocateRequired
  2. Short Delivery Source Broker

For non-short sell orders, these are empty.

For short sell orders, they would contain the following information

  1. ‘Y’
  2. Firm covering short position.

Has anyone discussed what tags should be used for this?

With the passage of more than a year as anyone running a FIX 4.0 gateway able to shed some light on the choice of fields for specifying the Short Delivery Source Broker.
