Hi

I’m trying to test a parser for FIX messages and I am unable to locate enough samples for 4.0 and 4.2 versions. Does anyone know where I can find samples of FIX messages or has anyone any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance

T.M.

Have a look at the Open Source FIX engine [http://www.quickfixengine.org](http://www.quickfixengine.org)

Download the newest release, unpack it and go to the directory

quickfix/test/definitions/server

Here you find sub-directories for every FIX version. Each sub-directory contains acceptance tests for all test cases as mentioned in the FIX specification. If you need business message examples, you could contact me and I could send you a couple of messages for NewOrderSingle, ExecutionReport, OrderCancelRequest, OrderCancelReject, MarketDataRequest, MarketDataRequestReject, MarketDataSnapshot

BTW, QuickFIX contains a fully-tested parser for FIX messages…

Cheers, Jörg

Hi Jorg,

We are planning to implement FIX at our organization. You have mentioned below that you have business message examples that you can provide. Could you please email a few to me.

Thanks for your help.

Sapna
