We are seeking a driven and talented full-time and permanent developer who thrives on pushing the limits of technology to produce state of the art trading application infrastructure. Our engineers are constantly challenged to deliver creative, imaginative solutions for highly complex technical issues.
Examples of previous projects include Automated Trading Systems, Trading Screen Applications, Multi-Instrument Trading System, Risk Systems, Distributed Risk Administration, Risk Monitoring Applications and Gateways projects. Our client has developed systems for several gateways including CME, CBOT, Eurex, ISE, Liffe, NQLX, Euronext, NASDAQ, NYSE/AMEX, Island, Archipelago, Island, Instinet, Xetra, LSE, Broker Tek and Interactive Brokers.
DUTIES:
Develop Windows SmartClient applications in C# and Microsoft .NET framework. The successful candidate will be working in an independent atmosphere and must possess previous experience interpreting explicit requirements, designing object oriented solutions and collaborating with other developers to implement creative results.
The primary deployment platforms are Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003/2005, Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
Additional responsibilities include:
· Create new features and prototypes to be added to GUI product.
· Design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces and interfaces with other systems to prove out new concepts and business functionality.
· Participate in new feature discussions with product management, design discussions and review sessions with clients.
· Development of new gateways.
· Design, develop, implement, upgrade and test components of proprietary real-time financial trading software using distributed systems, client-server and web-based technologies.
· Design and customize software for customer use.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 3 years practical .NET SmartClient development experience in professional environment
o High performance data-binding techniques
· 3 years experience developing C# and the .NET framework
o Thread synchronization
o Caching
· 3+ years of solid GUI development experience required
· 2 years additional other Windows user-interface development
· Experience in trading application development
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Electrical Engineer (BSEE) or Math. Masters degree preferred.
· Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft .NET or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Experience with financial message protocols (FIX, etc) and exchange API’s is a plus.
· Electronic trading software experience is preferred.
