Senior Automated SQA - Perm opportunity to start immediately
Location: Boston area **Our client is willing to relocate exceptional individuals
Salary range: 75-90k + bonus and stock options - for star performers, this is negotiable.
Our private and profitable software product client is seeking to hire Senior Quality Assurance technologists to join a team dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of QA testing through the use of automation, tools, and metrics. Candidates must have the ability define new methodologies based on best practices in the Quality Assurance community and introduce those techniques to QA Analysts creating and executing the test plans.
The successful candidate will be an experienced automation engineer that can get things done independently and possesses a history of producing effective, reliable and maintainable automated test scripts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define: Methodologies for best practices
- Develop: A framework for testers to follow
- Deliver: The framework to QA Analysts for implementation
- Report: Metrics on QA coverage effectiveness
- Recommend: Improvements to the product design or development process for better coverage
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year technical college degree or equivalent experience
- 8 or more years in software QA positions
- Authority on QA Methodologies
- Automated testing tool experience: winrunner, loadrunner, test director are most desirable
- Relational Database experience
- Proven Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with trade order management/financial securities/securities processing software is a MUST
- Demonstrated use of structured programming (i.e… perl scripting, C…)
- Experience automating tests for GUI-driven, client server applications understanding of relational databases, ability to manage data sets and query data
