Our client is a leading global investment bank based in the city of London who are seeking a Senior Production Manager Advanced Trading Systems with the following knowledge and skills.
Primary responsibilities
• Production management of systems in London and Hong Kong
• Management of global support teams for trading systems
• Involvement in design and implementation of architectural components and system reliability improvements
• Manager of a number of support, engineering and testing roles with the team size changing to meet demands
• Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers to facilitate system rollout and delivery
• Manage a global team of testers for application development deliveries to ensure the delivery of high availability systems to support a trading and research business
• Gather information necessary for successful project completion
• Team leading and relevant business area knowledge
• Experience working with algorithmic trading technologies, black box algorithms or ETF pricing applications in electronic markets
• A knowledge of equity trading and has previous experience working directly with senior traders and business managers
Business Skills Required
Essential
• At least 5 years development experience in an object oriented environment at some point in their career
• Experience working within a development team related to front office trading and the equity business;
• Experience of implementation management through the full SDLC preferably in a component based technologies, including COM, TIB or CORBA;
• Knowledge of real time market data vendors
• Some database development experience using MS SQL Server
• Experience of ClearCase and ClearQuest
• Experience of OO design principles and techniques
Desirable
• A knowledge of and experience with Fidessa, GL and automated trading engines, TIB and FIX
• Experience of Visual Basic, C++, XML, VBA,
• Experience in both UNIX and Intel environments
• Experience improving a CMM process
• Worked with TestDirector, WinRunner, RUP ‘V’ Test Process
