Senior Software Developer – Equities - OMS
C++ or Java or C#, .Net, SQL Databases, Multi-Threaded
Financial Services firm seeks a Software Developer to apply their technical and business knowledge to help build firm’s cutting edge order management system. Working as part of an industry leading development team, but with significant individual initiative, developers will use state of the art technology to meet the design challenges of the next-generation OMS. The position calls for extensive development and hands-on experience with transactional systems with significant design responsibility.
Problem Solving Skills:
· Experience developing high performance scalable applications
· Experience with distributed architectures
· Experience delivering high-availability applications
· Implementing applications that run as Windows 2000 services using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
Knowledge / Experience / Skills:
· At least 5 years experience programming in C++, Java, or C#
· Business knowledge of US domestic equities trading and order management systems is a strong plus
· Experience with transaction oriented database applications a plus
· Knowledge of SQL databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, etc.) is a strong plus
· Experience with multi-threaded applications development is a plus
· Experience in technical design and architecture required
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with product development life cycle
· 2+ years of Microsoft Windows NT/Windows 2000
· Knowledge of UML and Rational products is a plus
