Hello,
I will write a MIB extension (to MIB 2) to monitor FIX connections via SNMP, generating traps when the connection state changes (e.g. logged on, logged out, disconnected, resending, etc), and also providing other meaningful information via snmp_gets (various counters on different message types, etc).
I could not find anything formal about this in the specs, since it goes out of the scope of the protocol definition. However, is there is any effort going on on this front, since SNMP is one of the most broadly used standards in enterprise monitoring?
