We are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to assist with supporting and managing both front and back office technology for the Institutional Sell-Side Equity Trading Desk in London. The individual must be able to work under minimal supervision and actively assist in the continuing effort to build and support all the application technology required for trading European equities across all the major European exchanges.
We currently have the full FidessaNet Suite of applications (FTS, OMAR, CTAC, EMMA, IMAR, BROKERNET) and have full STP to our Operations department which use the Wilco Gloss System. Additionally we have a large Electronic FIX infrastructure with a very high proportion of our order flow coming via the various FIX hubs. The candidate will be expected to participate in growing the number of electronic FIX clients.
The candidate must also be able to work with the traders on defining and implementing all new requirements which include trade entry, position keeping, commission calculation, p & l and MIS.
The candidate must also be able to assist in maintaining relationships with all existing vendors.
Basic Requirements
• 3+ years work experience in a broker environment
• Knowledge of Equity Brokerage Trading and Operations processes
• Knowledge of OMS solutions/application packages
• Knowledge of European Exchanges
• Strong Communication skills
• NT 4.0 / XP Desktop Knowledge
• MS Applications (Excel, Word, Access)
Technical Requirements (Pre-requisite)
• Excellent Knowledge of Supporting the FidessaNet (OMAR, EMMA, TMAR, CTAC, IMAR) application suite
• Proven knowledge of Client/FIX Connectivity
• Basic Knowledge of GLNet/GLWin or Flextrade
• Working knowledge of Sybase, SQL
• Good Organizational, Project Management and Business Analysis skills.
