Position Description: This is a senior software developer role for a Fixed Income Risk Reporting application.
Responsible for maintenance and continuous support of the risk reporting system.
Lead & develop short term projects through complete project lifecycle: from the initial capture of customer requirements, documentation, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation support.
Support and develop risk reporting for a range of Fixed Income and derivatives markets. Support risk control officers, desk managers, and traders to use the system.
Work closely with other trading systems, static data, quantitative analysis, and risk calculation IT teams to design, implement, and deliver risk reports efficiently.
The successful candidate will need to work effectively as an individual as part of the team, and have the drive to produce high quality work in a high-pressure environment.
Minimum Job Requirements: BA/BS degree with 4+ years experience in Investment Banking/Financial applications development.
Good communication and client relationship skills.
Java essential.
SQL essential.
JSP/Servlets desirable. Oracle PL/SQL desirable.
Knowledge of Fixed Income products desirable.
Understanding of Risk Management and the use of valuation models desirable.
Business Objects desirable.
