market-neutral hedge fund is seeking a software
engineering/technology manager.

Software Development and Technology Manager
Ther ideal candidate will possess excellent
communication skills, extensive software design
and development experience, and a passion for
technology. The individual will be attracted by
the opportunity to work in an environment where
the focus on technology is significant and where
software development is an effective, organized,
and valued effort within the firm. The position
will be based in the firm’s New York office, and
the individual will report to the Managing
Director responsible for the firm’s Technology.

Responsibilities
The Software Development and Technology Manager
will be primarily responsible for:

  • Helping to guide the firm’s software development
    practices.
  • Constantly communicating with the software
    developers in the New York office, ensuring that
    all programming code meets my client’s quality
    standards and is properly reviewed, documented,
    and accessible for future use.
  • Maintaining and improving upon the technology
    standards and practices of the firm by conducting
    ongoing research and development projects.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact with
    technology managers in the firm’s Dallas
    headquarters.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of software design and
    development experience
  • Extensive C++ knowledge
  • Strong familiarity with object oriented
    programming
  • Exceptional academic background, advanced degree
    a plus
