This role is with a company in New York City.
The qualified candidates will have five+ years experience with strong UNIX/C programming skills and experience in client server technology. Graphical user interface programming is required. Must have some prior knowledge or experience in trading systems!
As a member of this small team, you will be expected to take charge of feature development and possess the flexibility to take on challenges as they arise in development, quality assurance and production. This candidate will be responsible for architecture planning and design/development of a multi-tiered, multi-threaded direct access trading system that is highly available, scalable, and a service bureau configuration.
The following technical requirements are needed: 5 years experience combined programming in and C/C++ with development in a Unix (Solaris) environment; 3+ years TCP/IP sockets and networked applications experience; 3+ years experience with logical database design; FIX protocol experience. The candidate must have
professional experience working with electronic trading systems for securities.
Depending on the level of experience, the base salary could be anywhere from 115k to 140k.
