This role is with a company in New York City.
This is a senior role for a person with a strong technical background looking to develop, maintain and support object oriented components for an equity trading system. This role will require participation in overall design/architecture discussions and lead on individual components.
The candidate must have a Financial industry background in developing equity trading systems.
The technical requirements are as follows: 5+ years Java programming; 3+ years OO design/development in Win32; 3+ years C/C++ programming under unix (Solaris) environment; 2+ years database, Sybase preferred. The candidate should also have FIX and/or CMS Protocol experience.
Additional experience with the following is highly desirable: ECNs and Exchanges: Archipelago, Instinet, Island, etc.
Experience with market data services: Reuters, Hyperfeed, Bloomberg, etc
The base salary (based on level of experience) could range anywhere from 110k to 140k.
