My client, a major asset management group headquarted in midtown Manhattan, is seeking a person who will be the primary QA analyst assigned to support the ongoing enhancement, maintenance and global roll-out of a major strategic and technically advanced portfolio management application. The system uses complex data and quantitative models to optimize client holdings across the various products, countries and equity types constituting their portfolios. The individual will be responsible for developing and refining all aspects of the quality plan with the project/product team lead from the analysis stage of the project through implementation and spearhead the utilization of other QA resources.
The position will require extensive LOCAL travel to satellite offices where parts of the development and user teams are situated, or it can be situated in central Westchester county with regular travel to the client’s headquarters in midtown Manhattan.
This position requires five to seven years experience as a business analyst and quality assurance analyst for securities investment/trading related applications. Familiarity with quality control techniques is a must. Individual must be self-motivated and proactive with a proven knowledge of structured testing methodologies and concepts in client-server and web environments. Working knowledge of Relational Database technology and data analysis is required. The Individual must demonstrate proficiency in test analysis, design, construction and execution of test plans and scripts. The candidate must also have a verifiable history of experience working in cross-functional project teams and direct interaction/contact with business users. The client prefers candidates who have familiarity with Automated Test Tool technology and its application.
Salary ranges up to about 135K plus bonus.
