Sr. Real Time Market Data Feeds Business Analyst
Data modeling of real time global data feeds to assist in the product development of a real-time feed. Duties include analyzing and Interpreting exchange and market center data feed specifications. Collaborate with developers to provide business analysis and technical explanation of specifications. Coverage of global markets with a primary focus on U.S. equities, options and futures data.
•5 years experience with real time data feeds at a market data vendor or as a real time data consumer at a bank or brokerage.
•Technical knowledge of ticker plant operations, value added data generation, and business processing rules.
•Combination of technical and business knowledge including an understanding of issues and challenges in global data consolidation and usage.
•Experience with software project lifecycle, including requirements, QA, and documentation. Previous experience with FIX protocol helpful
•Comfortable working with data models in MS Word, Excel, XML Spy.
•Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
•Flexibility and willingness to learn new tools. Ability to develop workarounds & tactical solutions on the fly.
•Programming experience and/or knowledge of XSLT a plus.
•Prior large-scale metadata management experience a plus.
