Hi Everyone,

I’ve been interested in FIX for a while now, and was wondering the best way for me to get involved & get developing?

I’m currently doing some postgrad studies in Finance, and have been developing in C#/ASP.NET for 3+ years, however am really wanting to do some FIX development. I’ve downloaded & done a bit in QuickFix, read through fixopaedia etc, but was wondering if any FIX devs our there can share how they got into their jobs in this market?

I’ve worked across a few industries and am working in telecoms at the moment, but really want to get into investment banking/SE next year when I graduate. I’d appreciate any feedback you can offer.

I was the managing editor of the FIX implementation guide and although it is very Fixed Income focused at least 75% of it is true for Equities.

Is there a data dictionary example available? I’m working on vendor interfaces for the exchance of hedge fund administration information.
